Another update on the problem with Internet Explorer missing keystrokes.    Doing some more research I found another reference to the problem – specific to Sony VAIO laptops.   As suspected in the earlier post – the problem is down to the fingerprint reader software.

I’ve run through the steps in this post and haven’t had a dropped keypress yet – so looks like it’s finally fixed!
