Looking through several blog posts on the [...]]]></description> <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Just been working on a PC which was pretty badly infected.   Malwarebytes managed to clear most of the infection &#8211; but after a reboot &#8211; kept reporting that c:\windows\system32\uacinit.dll was an infected trojan.   It doesn&#8217;t matter how many times I tried to remove uacinit.dll, it kept reappearing after a reboot.</p><p>Looking through several blog posts on the subject &#8211; most were giving pages of in depth instuctions needed to remove it.   However one suggested simply booting of the XP cd, going into the recovery console and deleting it.</p><p>Well, it appears to have worked!   Several reboots and several scans &#8211; the PC appears clean!</p><div
