Re-enable Hibernation option in Windows Vista
September 15th, 2009 adminIf you’ve suddenly lost the ability to hibernate your PC in Vista, here’s the fix:
1) Start an Administrator command prompt (Start, All Programs, Accessories – right click on command prompt and select “Run as Administrator”).
2) Type “powercfg /hibernate on” (without the quotes)
3) Reboot
The option should be available again now!
