WordPress – Directory Listing Denied

If you get this error after installing wordpress on IIS:

Directory Listing Denied
This Virtual Directory does not allow contents to be listed

Make sure that under the defaul document tab in IIS for your website you have “index.php” listed.

    thanks for the tip, in linux its usually the httpd.conf file where you need to allow the directory index for index.php
