OK – so who are we?
Scotia Systems (Computer Support) is a new small business run from Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia. The aim of the company is to
1) Support home users
2) Support small business users
3) Web design
4) Provide Hosting
5) Make a living
Obviously Number 5 really matters to us, but to get there we need to make 1-4 successful first!
It’s still early days for the company, so directions and focus may change, but for now it’s full steam ahead on the above 5 goals.
Goal #1 (home users) has already started, and as you can see by the testimonial on our homepage (www.scotiasystems.com) is proving popular. Using a new tool called GotoAssist (I think this tool deserves a blog post of it’s on – watch this space) we’re able to remotely support a PC anywhere in the world. This means that rural users in Nova Scotia, no longer have to travel hours with their PC to get some help.
Goals 3 and 4 are also going well. We’ve found an excellent hosting partner located in Toronto and have been trialling their services with great success. It’s amzing how much you can learn in a short space of time when working on web projects! The tools and technologies are changing and improving at such a great rate it’s a full time job keeping up!
So there you have a little background on us and what we’re out to achieve. More to come over time!
