An experiment in Search Engine OCR
February 21st, 2010 adminHere’s an experiment in how well the search engines can OCR (Optical Character Recognition) an image.
Below is a selection of images in different formats, with different styles. Once this blog post has been indexed, I’ll be looking to see which images have been OCR’d (if any) to examine the current state of text recognition within images indexed by the major search engines.
I’ll post a follow-up article once I’ve collated the results.
